Add a Lemon Kiss to Your Girl's Daily Fashion Dose

As a mom, I always make sure that my daughter looks lovely in everything she wears from the hairbow to the shoes. I don't want her to look just ordinary. I want her to standout all the time. That is why, I see to it that she looks pretty in her clothes. Many people even call her kikay and fashionista little girl but I guess all moms want that for our little princess. It feels great that they are being regarded as beautiful and that anyone who sets eyes on them would give a smile or a sweet compliment.

Lemon Kiss

I buy Bella's clothes online because I can't see anything fab in local stores. And also, I don't want to see someone else wearing the same outfit as hers hahaha. When I buy online, she comes out unique. People here aren't really into online shopping for their little ones. Or maybe, I am wrong. lol

One line of clothes that caught my attention are those from Lemon Kiss. The dresses are very lovely in style and color. Once your kid puts them on, they will surely stand out from the rest! I especially love the blue ones because Bella doesn't have much of blue colored dresses. But of course, pink and purple would always be a favorite!

Wonder how their dresses look like? Here are some of the designs I got from the Lemon Kiss Facebook Page.

Lovely, right? Well, I'm sure you'll be heading to their page too so you can see what else they have that could look good on your kids. I am certain my three year old daughter would look great on these dresses! Too bad there isn't any SM store here in our area because their dresses are available in all SM stores nationwide. So, if you found the dresses stunning, head over to their page and check out their dresses!

If you have an SM store near you, better check their new designs too and I am pretty sure you will love them!

Charlotte Victoria Collection's Couture Tutus and Dresses

fashion tutu dress

Moms would love to give their little princesses every beautiful thing in this world. If we speak of fashion, tutus are always part of the list since they really look super cute for these little ladies. I have tried making a tutu gown for my friend's baby and it sure looked lovely on her. But I got the idea on how to make tutus from online shops where creative mommies make tutu gowns and skirts for little girls. The very first shop I came across that impressed me a lot is the Charlotte Victoria Collection. A look at their Facebook page and their website seems like a whimsical tour to a world of beautiful princesses. Aside from the impressive designs, what added to the appeal of the CVC presentation is their model.

Charlotte Victoria Sluitman is a 3 year old daughter of Ms. Marites Paguio, the talented designer of the CVC collection . Once you see her, you will surely agree with me that this pretty little girl could be the next top model in her generation. The way she carries the dresses and her graceful poses manifests her passion in what she do. You can clearly see that no one has actually forced her to do it. Although, her mommy could have encouraged her at first but with the looks of it, Charlotte really have the heart for fashion and modelling. It seems like she is born for the camera and for fashion.

I'll let you take a look at some of the creations from CVC with Charlotte as model. The combination of Charlotte's pretty face and the amazingly heart-grabbing designs of CVC creates a strong appeal. Every mommy would surely say "I want this for my daughter!" when you see their creations. Take a look at little Miss Sluitman wearing the fabulous designs of CVC:

Those are just some of her lovely pictures. Now, you know what I am talking about. I think what makes all the CVC items fabulous is because all of them were made from the heart and they make sure to give the best tutu skirts, tutu dresses, couture hairbows, petti skirts, petti dresses, ruffled tops, baby rompers and many more. Aside from their tutu stuff, they have an added collection of  couture dresses like the ones you see below:

So, pretty, right? I know you want your little girl to look as fabulous as Charlotte. The good news is, you can get these dresses from the Charlotte Victoria Collection website, CVC Blog or from their CVC Facebook Page. They ship internationally. So, wherever you are in the world, you can avail of these pretty tutus and dresses that can be customized depending on your color choices, size and style.

We have here a slideshow of some selected items from the Charlotte Victoria Collection. You'll surely be inspired with what you are about to see! I still have a lot more fabulous finds to share with you mommies. Just keep on checking my blog from time to time. And by the way, I am not paid to feature them or any of my future posts for Shopping Faves. I just feature online shops that I love. There are actually so many of them on my list. Watch out for more! XOXO

Comfort First Before Fashion

Mothers see to it that their little ones look good all the time. Some moms (like me!) would be buying so many clothes for their little ones. That ranges from sun suits to dresses, pajamas to skirts, blouses to t-shirts and so many others. Having a girl really gives me a lot of choices for her. But I guess, if I had a boy, I would still do the same. I will still get him every available clothing that will look good on him. But since I had a girl, I was given a wider range of choices when it comes to clothes.

I love clothes that is why my closet is so full that some of them are already in plastic containers and bags. So, you won’t wonder if I’ll also get so many clothes for Bella. Her closet is also full. Bigger clothes are kept on a different container and smaller clothes are separated, too! All she has in her closet are those that fit her at the moment. Oh, well. Good luck to me and her closet for I am certain she will still get more clothes in the next days to come! Online shopping just makes it easy for me to get pretty clothes for Bella. But I don’t just pick any type of clothing. I make sure that I choose them well. I don’t want my baby to feel uncomfortable while on it. So, today, I will share to you some tips on how to choose clothes for your little one. Here are some things you need to consider. These tips are for choosing both infant and toddler clothes regardless of gender of course.

1. Know your baby’s size. First thing you need to consider is the size. Know the size of your baby. Sometimes, what you see on the clothes’ tags are not suitable to your baby’s size. It might be bigger or smaller, like if the tag says “6-12 months” but it might still fit until 18 months. This happens because clothes differ in sizes. That is why it is important to know your baby’s size.

      2. Make sure it’s comfortable. A beautiful clothing is useless if it’s uncomfortable. So, see to it that your baby will feel comfortable while wearing it. It means that she can move and play freely. Be sure that it is not tight against baby’s skin. If there are zippers and snaps, check if there is a layer a fabric that protects the baby’s skin from direct contact with them for it might harm them.

      3. Check how it can be worn. Make sure that it won’t be hard to get on and off the clothes you buy. There has to be a long zipper at the front or a snap at the bottom. When you are buying tops, see to it that there are openings or snaps at the upper back or front part (sometimes snaps are on the shoulder part) so that it can be opened when worn through the head. This way, you can ensure that you will not hurt your baby’s head when getting into it. If there aren't snaps, be sure that the neck opening is stretchable to fit the head.

      4. Check the material used. Look into the material of the clothes you will buy.  Baby skin is sensitive to some artificial materials. That is why, it is recommend to buy clothing made of natural materials like cotton. If you want your little girl to wear tutus, see to it that it is made of good quality soft tulle so that it won’t be itchy for the baby. (Tutus are so cute! We’ll have a round-up of beautifully made tutus on our next post, look forward for that!)

5. Be practical. Your baby grows fast. Hence, do not be buying too expensive clothes. But if you want to buy expensive clothes for a special occasion, make sure that the price is worth it. Look into the quality of the clothing if it suits the price. You can look for items on sale or on bargains or even on shops that sell second hand clothing. Also, let it fit to your baby’s age. Infant clothes are different from toddler clothes. This is important to make sure that it will look appropriate on your baby. There are different clothes for new born babies and for babies that are already 6 months old and up. I bet you know what types of clothes are right for your baby’s age.

Basically, those are the things that one needs to look into when buying and choosing clothes for babies. Moms really like to get trendy clothing for their little ones but it is always best to consider the above mentioned points in order to make sure that our babies will feel comfortable and presentable at the same time.

Personally, when I get clothes for Bella, I look for those that are not tight on her skin and those that make her feel fresh and comfy. But of course, I get pretty clothes for her all the time. I know mommies out there are like me, you also get plenty of clothes for your babies. We just can’t help it! It is one of our ways to express our fondness and love for them. We also see to it that our little kids look great all the time –even if they are just at home!

"Remember mommies, comfort first before fashion!"

How about you mommies? What do you consider in looking for clothes for your kids? Would you like to add some tips, too? We’d appreciate your comments on this. Till next time!
