How to Write a Will When You Have Children

No one wants to leave the family, especially the kids. But sometimes, there are unexpected circumstances that happen which usually occur in the most unexpected time. That is why it is practical to prepare everything before anything happens to us parents. Like getting an insurance and even writing a will. Today's guest post is from my friend Sally who have contributed many other amazing articles to the blog. In this article, she will discuss how to write a will.

How to Write a Will When You Have Children

Although people typically do not enjoy thinking about their death, it is an important fact of life that must be addressed at some point. Unfortunately, you have no way of knowing when your time will end. Preparing for the future and ensuring that your children are taken care of is an important step that parents should take into consideration as soon as possible. Here are some steps on how to write a will when you have children.

1. Will preparation includes making important decisions first. You want to make the best decision regarding your children. Deciding who will receive what can mean the difference between siblings bonding forever or never speaking again. Talking with your children when they are of age to understand is a good step toward attaining the goal you want to achieve. You should also speak with your spouse or other parent (if you aren't married), and let them know what your last wishes will be.

2. Know the laws for your state. Understanding the laws can help you prepare your will to the best of your ability. There are two types of categories that states fall under regarding property. Community property means that your spouse owns half of any property you accumulated while married. You cannot legally leave that part of the property to your children because you legally don't own their half.

Common law property means that you own any property that has your name only on the deed, contract or any other paperwork. This means that you can leave this property to anyone you choose in the event of your death. An experienced attorney can help you understand the laws and what category your state falls under.

3. Consider a family trust. A family trust is a good way to help avoid probate after you have gone. Money is saved on estate and inheritance taxes, and a trust allows control over assets.

How to Write a Will When You Have Children

4. Choose an executor to handle your affairs. An executor is someone you appoint who will handle your affairs for you in the event you become ill and aren't able to. They should know about the will and what your plans are for your children. Make sure this is someone you can trust completely as you are giving them control over some of the most important factors in your life.

5. Choose a guardian for the children. This is one of the most important steps you will take. Choosing the person who will care for and raise your children in case you pass before they are grown is a hard decision to make. You want someone who will raise them as you would and give them all of the love and support they deserve. Choose carefully and discuss your plans thoroughly with them.

6. You can learn how to write your own will. When you are ready, you should find a quiet place to make your will. You will need two witnesses to watch and state that you were of sound mind when you made out your will. You should state on the will that you are of sound mind and mentally capable. Also, list important factors identifying yourself like your name, social security number and address. State that this is your last will and that these are your last wishes made without undue influence or duress. Basically, you are stating that no one is forcing you to make these decisions.

You should also include specific details about your family. For instance, state who you are married to and who your children are. You can state that you reside together at your residence and give the address. Be as specific as possible on every part of your will so that there are no arguments or disagreements when the time comes. When you are finished, you will sign the will in front of your two witnesses.

7. Document everything that you can. Anything that comes up involving your family or will should be documented and kept in a safe place together with all other documents. A bank safe deposit would be a good place to store this important information. Make sure that your executor knows where everything is and how to access the information if needed.

How to Write a Will When You Have Children

Overall

Creating a will for your children is one of the most important things you can do for them. You want to ensure that the process is done properly so that they aren't left with a mountain of problems like a family member contesting a will after your passing. Preparing a will can be stressful if you don't understand the laws and how to prepare it properly. An attorney knowledgeable in wills and estate planning can help guide you in the right direction.

Celebrate! Our Differences Book Review: Learning To Accept And Love Others

In my daughter's school, she is exposed to different kinds of people. Apart from the varying personalities of the kids in their classrooms, there are also pupils in the school campus who are not Filipinos and some have special needs. Because of this, seeing people of various conditions and race isn't new to her. As a matter of fact, she is amazed at the idea of "difference" and she learned to embrace it.

Celebrate! Our Differences

I taught her to be good and kind to everyone no matter what their color is and even if he or she has a disability. My 5-year-old daughter Bella is very compassionate, so instead of laughing at other kids, she would say hello and start a conversation. It is nice that she was able to build up this kind of perspective while still young.

No wonder she was beaming with joy when she saw the Celebrate! Our Differences book. Looking at the cover, she observed that each child is different but they are happy being together. She was so excited to read it. I am also proud that at an early age, she could already read lengthy books and comprehend the lessons from it. Because of that, I am sure that she will learn tons of good things from the Celebrate! series of Real MVP Kids.

 photo celebrate1-kickstarter_zpsg06oso17.jpg

The Celebrate! Our Differences book teaches our kids how to treat other children whom they think are different. It shows us that we should love each other no matter what. This is indeed an important lesson especially these days when issues of racism and discrimination are being raised even on social media. It is necessary that they are aware of this issue and they know how to address it.

But it doesn't just talk about differences. It also shows that even if another kid speaks a different language, he can still be a playmate and a friend. It teaches kids that they can play music and make artistic drawings with those who have special needs. It clearly showcases the value of accepting and loving others no matter who they are, where they came from and what they look like.

Celebrate! Our Differences book reviewThis book was Bella's bedtime story last night even if she is already done reading it. After reading the story, I asked her how she should treat kids of different races, those who are in wheelchairs or those who are deaf. She said that we should not point and laugh at them. We should say "Hi, how are you? What's your name?" She even added that she would ask,"Can we be friends?"

Another good thing about the Celebrate! Our Differences book is the Helpful Teaching Tips part wherein parents are given a guide on how to use the book in inculcating positive things to the children. I like the part wherein the difference of judgment and observation was pointed it. It is indeed something I never thought of. But it is really nice to say someone is different than say that someone is ugly, right?
Learning To Accept And Love Others
You can teach all these to your kids using the Celebrate! Our Differences book. For sure, you will like this book for your children. Apart from the lessons the kids can learn from it, it comes with colorful illustrations and it is nicely written too! Your kids will also get a good grasp of each page because this is a board book, which appeals to kids.

With that, I am sure that my 3-month old son, Quiel will still be able to read this book. And yes, this could also be a perfect bedtime storybook for him when he grows a little older.

So, if you also want your children to get a copy of this book, go ahead and support Real MVP Kids in their Kickstarter campaign. This is a perfect book to teach your kids about diversity.

Aside from this book, there are still seven other lovely books from Real MVP Kids which I will also review. Come back for my review of the second book, Celebrate! Bed Time.

Sewing, Crafting, Painting and Quilting: Turning Your Backyard Shed Into a Creative Cottage

Some hobbies take up a lot of space, like sewing, painting, and quilting. If you live in a small space, finding room to practice your favorite craft can be tricky. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a craft space of your own? Imagine having a whole room dedicated to crafting. How about converting your backyard shed into a creative space? Here are some ideas to help you.

Backyard Shed Into a Creative Cottage

Fix Up The Outside

Give your backyard shed a new lease of life with a coat of weather-proof paint. Since it’s going to be a space that inspires creative endeavors, why not paint it a bright, eye-catching color, like teal or lime green. Paint the door and trim in a brightly contrasting color. Put up a few window boxes and plant trailing flowers like nasturtiums and intermingle with sweet smelling herbs like mint, rosemary, and lavender.

Paint The Inside

If the interior walls of your shed are made from particle board there’s no need to drywall, you can simply paint them. The important thing to know is that particle board will suck up gallons of paint. To prevent this from happening, the best thing to do is add a coat with a particle board primer.

Cover The Floor

One of the easiest and most cost effective floor coverings for your craft cottage is stick-on vinyl floor tiles. They come in a great range of colors, they are easy to cut to fit your space and they are easy to keep clean. Adding a floor rug will help keep the place warm and will add a touch of comfort.

Light It Up

You’re definitely going to need good lighting, especially if you’re doing fine needlework. Your shed may not offer a great deal of natural light. If this is the case, you could consider replacing the windows for bigger ones, to let in more light. This may not be feasible and you will still need artificial light anyway for those times when you’re crafting late into the evening. Consider lighting the space with daylight bulbs. Heated lights are also good for the chilly months. Look at this website for some ideas about lighting.

Create your Crafty Environment

Now it’s time for the fun part. First, think crafting tables. You need a large surface to craft on and you will need to position it in the best lit area of the shed. Next, think storage, you’re going to need plenty of shelving for all your craft supplies and equipment. Use baskets and colored boxes to keep all your things in order. A great space-saving storage idea is pegboard. This will allow you to hang tools, scissors, and brushes as well as spools of ribbon and craft tape.

And there you have it. You have your own craft space, now you’re ready to begin creating wonderful works of art. Your new creative cottage is bound to inspire many creative adventures for years to come.

Kid-Friendly Cars: Find the Perfect Car for Your Family

It's never easy to choose a car, especially when you need to pick a child-friendly car for your family. Some features, like fuel efficiency and a good sound system, are useful to everyone, but some that are necessary for good family cars are irrelevant in other vehicles. It's important to look for those features when choosing either a new or a used car to make sure that you make a good decision.

Play it Safe

Family friendly cars have plenty of safety features. There are times when it's impossible to avoid an accident, and those features can save a person's life. That is especially important for families with young children since they can suffer serious injuries from accidents that wouldn't do much harm to an adult.

Airbags are the most important safety feature. They can do a lot to protect an adult, but they aren't always safe for children. In general, the side air in the front seats is dangerous for small children. If you are going to put a child up front, make sure that they are disabled. Side airbags in the rear are often safe due to voluntary safety standards, but not every manufacturer follows those standards. Ask the dealer for confirmation before you make the choice. Some airbags also come with advanced safety features that can adjust their power to accommodate passengers of different sizes, and those can be very useful for cars that will hold growing children.

Interior trunk releases are also important for families with children. Sometimes children sneak into the truck, and there's a chance that they will lock themselves inside. A trunk with an interior release makes that impossible since the child can let himself out. Make sure that the release is large and obvious so that a curious child can find it without any trouble.

Kid-Friendly Cars

Look for Space

People who know how to choose a family car often make storage space a priority. It opens up opportunities to save money by buying groceries in bulk, but the main benefit appears when the children start joining sports teams and activities. Many sports require bulky pieces of equipment, and it isn't easy to bring it to the game without a large trunk.

Seat space is also important. Children tend to get irritated during long trips, and separating them so that they can't fight can prevent a lot of problems in the car. Bigger seats also make it easier to use booster seats, which can make a car trip much safer for small children. Removable seats are ideal since they can be used for seating when necessary but removed to provide more cargo space during trips to the grocery store.

Details Matter

People often ignore little details when they choose a car, but those details can make a big difference for children. Make sure that your car has enough cup holders for every child. Small children usually can't handle a cup during a bumpy ride without spilling it, so a set of cup holders can save a lot of time on cleaning. Ideally, every child should also have access to an electrical outlet. Phones and gaming devices run out of power quickly in a car, and nothing will make children fight like only having access to a single outlet to recharge them.

Kid-Friendly Cars

The Right Price

The final consideration when choosing a new family car is the price. Every dollar that you spend on the car is a dollar that you can't spend somewhere else, so it's worth making sure that a car is worth the money. Family cars tend to experience a lot of wear and tear, so it's usually best to save money by avoiding fancy seats and other bonus features that can break easily.

Many people choose to save money by purchasing a used car for their family, and that is often a sound choice. They're much cheaper than new cars, but they're harder to customize and they sometimes need more repairs than newer vehicles. That means that it isn't always easy to choose between a used car or new car, and families need to carefully weigh the advantages and disadvantages before making a choice. This infographic can help you make the decision, and a good dealer can help you assess the quality of a specific used car that catches your eye.

Gear, Gadgets and Apps: Top Gifts for People Who Travel All the Time

If you love traveling, then you will surely like this post we have today from Eloise. She will share to us some gifts that people who like to travel will love the most. Take a look at what she prepared for us.

Top Gifts for People Who Travel All the Time

Travel can be a way of life for some people: they just don't seem to be satisfied unless they're off to their next big adventure. And if you have someone in your life who does just that, you may find that it’s difficult to find the right thing for them.

With today’s technology, however, you should have no problem finding them cool gifts and suggestions that they can use throughout their travels. Everyone can always use something, you just have to figure out what it is they need. Here are a few ideas that may be able to help the traveler in your life.

A VPN Socket

One of the most frustrating things about traveling is that sometimes you aren’t allowed to use apps that you normally can in your part of the world. Having a VPN is one easy way around this frustration.

VPN stands for Virtual Personal Network, and while there are many uses for one, it can help travels live with the comforts of home. If for instance, you want to watch Netflix in another country, you may be shut out because. Using a VPN will let you watch as normal because you can enter your home address.

The socket VPN creates a network when you plug your device in, so it takes the hassle out of finding an app to do so. VPNs are also a great added security feature for when you go on public WiFi so you can find uses for it wherever you travel.

A Great Weather App

Weather Live Free is a weather app by Apalon Apps that will keep you informed on all of the weather conditions -- present and future -- from anywhere in the world so you will always know what to expect.

The app has all of the pertinent information: temperature (including “feels like” temperature, the humidity percentage, the wind speed, and direction and it even has the sunrise and sunset times. Weather Live also features a seven-day forecast and uses a constantly-updated weather radar to show you any fronts that are moving toward or away from your location.

weather app by Apalon Apps

Weather Live also has a built-in widget that you can personalize on your home screen, so you can have all of the information right at your disposal.

A Portable USB Charger

One of the great luxuries of the 21st century is being able to have mobile devices with you wherever you go. The bad things about it are that you need to keep them all charged.

A good USB charger like this one can charge up to two devices at a time with speed so your devices are always ready. The charger itself plugs into a socket and can last for nearly 500 full charges so you will not need another one for a very long time. You can even use the devices while they're plugged in to save battery life.

Think of these cool items next time you talk to someone who travels all of the time.

The Key to Becoming a Good Home Tutor

Home tuition is gaining popularity all over the world and it could be the preferred choice for several parents and their children. Some parents might be highly qualified in their respective fields, and this gives them an upper hand to teach their kids at home.

However, there are still parents who aren’t professional teachers and for them to understand the need of choosing the right study material for their child is essential. In such scenarios, getting home tutors helps. A lot of home tuition agencies based in countries like India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other education deprived countries are focusing on additional study hours for kids that focus beyond the school curriculum.

The idea of becoming a good tutor for children should be driven by the objective to reaching a goal. And the best way to get there is to develop a plan and stick to it. Like, lessening distractions when home tuitions are on, taking not of the kids’ learning pattern, what resources you might need and how much time will it take to help the kid learn a particular subject, lesson or topic.

The Key to Becoming a Good Home Tutor

Here are some other important tips that will help you to become a good home tutor:

1. Make sure you know the curriculum you are going to follow. Check, whether it is a good match for the kids and goes in accordance to the school system of that particular region or country.

2. Before educating a child, educate yourself first. Learn about the curriculum before you begin to teach the children.

3. After learning about the children’s learning style, you can prepare with the home tuition layout. Do take notice of the number of hours, the days, equipment and resources that you will need down the road. You can also include the measures to reduce the disruptions and distractions in this time.

 photo read-2007118_960_720_zpstdctelxs.jpg

4. One of the major benefits of applying home tuition for your child is that he/she can be more relaxed, will show higher participation skills and even allow a two-way communication. But, all this depends upon the positive ambience that you create at home. It is a fact that children love to express their thoughts and views, so you have to make sure it happens.

5. Achieving your goals can take time, so having a strong level of patience is essential otherwise chances of frustration setting in will be high. A child might love-hate one subject and love another, so you have to bear all the long queues of confusion and help him/her to understand that thing. Understanding the root cause of the problem will help your resolve it in a better way.

6. The frustration can get the kid as well. The lesson might bore them and take their focus away. In such scenario, it is better to be more relaxed and focused. Since you’re teaching at home and not at school, the parameter of discipline should be at different level. A playful learning environment will ensure that the kid will succeed even at the hardest subjects.

Protect Your Children From Harmful Germs With Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer

When I was a kid, my brother and I were always told by our parents to wash our hands before and after eating. Although we feel lazy to do it, we still obey because we don't want to be reprimanded. For me, washing my hand was merely a routine.

Everytime we dine somewhere else like in restaurants or when we eat something while inside the car, we were told to use hand sanitizers or alcohol. Because of this, handwashing and sanitizing our hands became a habit until we grew up. I always have a hand sanitizer with me or an alcohol. It is one of my must-haves whenever I leave the house.

Now that I am a parent, I am also trying to teach my kids the importance of keeping their hands clean. Aside from hand washing, I teach them to use hand sanitizers whenever it is not possible to get a soap and water. But if we look into it, this is just a very small portion of the huge responsibility in taking care of the kids.

Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer

On Parenting While Ensuring Kid's Health

Well, parenting is never easy. Aside from teaching our kids the right manners and attitude, we also have to make sure that they are always healthy. That is why we force them to take their vitamins every day. We would restrict them to eat certain kinds of food since it might make them sick. We would do anything and everything when it comes to our children's health.

One way to ensure that they will not get unwanted bacteria is by making sure that their hands are clean. We all know that the hand is the number one carrier of germs. Germs can spread to the hands by sneezing, coughing, or rubbing the eyes. Many diseases and conditions can be easily transferred to other family members or friends through the hand.

Keeping the hands clean is a good start in staying healthy, then everything else will follow. It will not just bring good health but also a huge smile to your children's faces.

Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer

What Germs Can Be Found On Your Hands?

An effective way to teach kids about keeping the hands clean is to instill awareness about certain germs that can be acquired because of touching things. Merely opening the door can already transfer hundreds of germs to the hand. And when the hands reach the face, mouth and other parts of the body, the germs are spread.

So, what are the germs that can be found on the hands? There are actually a lot! And according to Bright Hub, over 150 different species of bacteria can also be found on the hands. And each one of them can cause a certain kind of disease.

Here is an infographic I made about using hand sanitizers and the kinds of germs that can be found on our hands:

Hand Sanitizer Hand germs infographic

Once your child will know this, they will no doubt volunteer to bring with them their own hand sanitizers. Hence, as parents, we have to buy them one. But, it shouldn't just be any kind of hand sanitizers. It has to be trusted because the health of our kids seemingly depends on our choice of product.

Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer Is a Perfect Choice!

If you want to ease your worries, the Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer is a great choice. Don't be tricked in buying those that come in fancy packaging because you do not know if it can protect your child. I recommend that you try the Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer because it kills 99.9 % of germs and bacteria. And of course, it is hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.

Aside from that, you wouldn't need to worry about its components since it is especially made for your child. It is carefully formulated without harmful chemicals. It also has glycerin that moisturizes the skin. Hence, it is gentle to your child's skin while killing harmful bacteria.

You will also love the scent which is suitable for the children and would leave the skin fresh. It comes in three different variants: Peach, Green Apple and Blueberry. In Belo Baby Hand Sanitizers, you will not find the usual strong scent of hand sanitizers in the market. All three variants has a mild and fresh smell.

Peach

Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer Peach

My daughter's favorite is Peach. It smells really sweet that it reminds me of peach flavored candies! This is perfect for chic little ones just like my daughter.

Green Apple

Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer Green Apple

This one has a gentle smell which reminds me of the cologne I used when I was still in elementary. Even if you put a lot of it on your hands, the smell won't hurt your nose.

Blueberry

Lalaloopsy Large Dolls Gets A Makeover And You'll Love It!

It's been a long long time since my last post about Lalaloopsy. If you haven't read about my previous posts, my daughter Bella and I loves these cute dolls. Bella has her own Lalas but unfortunately, they were burned when our house succumed into fire last December. But that's okay. What's important is that we are all safe.

Well, the Lalas did not make it. Of course, expect Bella to cry over her toys because for kids, these are their important possessions. But we assured her that we will get her new Lalas. That is why I browsed through the web to check on the latest Lalaloopsy. And I was so happy to see the gorgeous make over of Crumbs, Jewel, Spot and Storm.

Here is who they look like now:

Why Hire A Pest Control Specialist Vs DIY

These days, more and more people are getting into household do-it-yourself tasks, and that even extends to pest control and extermination. When you have a bug problem, do you really need to shell out money to hire someone to take care of it? There are so many retail pesticides on the market that you should be able to do your own spraying. But is it really as simple as that?

When you hire professionals like Broward exterminator, Excel, you get some things that a DIY approach can't bring you.

Why Hire A Pest Control Specialistg

Convenience

One of the simplest benefits of hiring a professional exterminator is just that it's the easier option for you. Let them crawl around in the basement or poke around behind all your furniture, and save yourself the effort. It can also be more efficient in terms of time, which is a helpful point if your busy schedule doesn't allow you to properly do the job yourself.

Expertise

A big part of what you're getting with a professional is experience and know-how. Understanding insects and knowing the best ways to approach a problem due to years of experience is something you can't buy at the store.

Proper insect control is more than just spraying a handy product when you see a bug. Your professionals can accurately identify your problem (can you tell the difference between a termite and an ant?), know which products are the most effective and which locations should be targeted for treatment.

Pest Control Specialist

Products

Though it might seem like you can buy all kids of good pesticides at the hardware store, you really do have a limited supply to choose from. And because these chemicals are available to anyone, they are significantly weaker than the industrial-grade compounds that professionals are trained to deal with.

That can mean the difference between you having to spray for cockroaches 7 times rather than the exterminator doing it just once. When you think about it this way, you'll probably start to see your cost savings disappear.

Though you should consider all these points, that doesn't mean you can't handle some small problems on your own with success. A few ants or a bunch of spiders can be taken care of with store-bought problems to save you the expense of a pro. You just need to know that there are limits to what an amateur can take care of on their own.

Giving it a shot on your own is perfectly fine, providing you be honest with yourself if your attempts are not successful. Leaving an insect pest problem unresolved for too long will just let the populations grow, creating a much bigger problem when the exterminator finally is called in.

One more thing to consider is that most professional pest control services will provide a no-cost estimate when you first call them in. That way you can get a little insight into what your treatment is going to entail before committing to any services. If you're worried about the cost, this is the way to go.

Top Qualities of the Best Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring is nothing new really and it is one of the best flooring available today, it's been around for a few years now in Canada and United States, but more and more people are becoming aware that it's available and that it's a good alternative to hardwood flooring because it’s a lot cheaper and imagine if you can purchase these on sale you can save tons. So, If you are looking at different materials available and you want to find out some of the best qualities of laminate flooring, continue to read below for more information on why this is one of the top rated flooring materials to use.

Available In Different Plank Sizes

Although laminate also comes in squares, the most popular style is, in fact, planks. These tend to look a lot more like hardwood, which is one of the reasons people are purchasing this material. The manufacturers that make these planks tend to offer them in whatever custom size you want, however, there are default sizes which include; 8 feet long, 10 feet long and 4 feet long. The width thickness is also going to be different and it really depends on the look that you want to achieve in your home.

Reproduction Aspects

Laminate flooring that is available today can mimic all sorts of different wood types that are available in hardwood styles, but they can also mimic laminate flooring to look like other things too. Chances are if you can take a photographic image of the material, it can be placed on the laminate floors. Some examples include; Leather, Cherry, Oak, Maple, Walnut, Ceramic, Porcelain, Stone, Granite, Marble and more.

Best Laminate Flooring

But as mentioned when people get this material, they get it because it is closely related to hardwood, therefore, they tend to stick to hardwood-like features. The only real reason you would get a laminate floor that looks like the stone is because it's going to cost less. For example, laminate flooring, 250 square feet costs a mere $1,444 dollars. On the other hand, marble flooring, 250 square feet costs a whopping $4,148! Big difference and that is exactly why some people choose to create different material looks using laminate.

Cleaning Ability

Cleaning and maintaining this material is really quite easy. As long as you don’t put a sopping wet mop down on the floor, clean up spills and splatters quickly, and vacuum it at least a few times a week, this floor can look and feel good for years to come. You don’t need any expensive floor cleaners. You don’t need expensive waxes. All you need are a few quality tools to clean the floors; a vacuum with a brush that can be raised and lowered, a microfiber mop, and some microfiber cloths to clean up messes or “buffer” the floor to make it shine. This is not a complex material to take care of.

So Easy To Install

Most of the manufacturers such as tilemarkets.com and that makes laminate floor nowadays use a click system wherein the pieces click into each other. This means you don’t need to hire some expert installer who is going to charge you a ton of money for the laminate installation.

Best Laminate Flooring

You also don’t need to worry about having carpentry skills for laying down your laminate flooring– there is no glue, no nails, no screws involved with this type of laminate wood flooring. It's just that easy. Anyone can do it. You simply roll down some underlayment and then snap the laminate floors into place. You can even install it over an already done flooring. Can't ask for much more than that!

These floors can also be installed via a floating floor design which means that you don’t need to take out a pre-existing material – concrete, hardwood, plywood, etc to place this new floor down. Instead, you can place the laminate over an existing floor. It's quicker, easier, and it's going to cost you less money, which is always a good thing.

Quicker Acclimation

When you buy something like hardwood, you have to unpack it and sit it in the room for 3-6 weeks before you install it so that the wood can get used to the atmosphere and the climate in the space you want to install it. Laminate isn’t like this. Instead of weeks, it's only days. 48 hours to be exact. This way you can get on with your project quicker and enjoy it sooner.

Best Laminate Flooring

Healthier Materials

Laminate flooring is also resistant to allergens, bacteria, mold and mildew and quite eco-friendly according to nalfa.com. You can't really say that about any other flooring, especially carpet. You can even purchase on the market coatings for your laminate flooring that will make them even healthier for you and your family. This is especially important for people and people with kids that have allergies or asthma or even asthmatic symptoms.
